THE STATE OF
KOSRAE
The Third Kosrae State
Constitutional Convention was convened and completed its work
by passing four proposed amendments to the Kosrae State Constitution. These
four constitutional amendment proposals will be subject
to the approval of the voters in a referendum to be
set by the Governor within 90 days of the Constitutional Conventions adjournment which
was on June 1, 2005.

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT
PROPOSALS AND ACCOMPANYING COMMITTEE REPORTS:
CONVENTION PROPOSAL NO.
33 - To require a statutory definition of the term
"resident" to establish qualifications to serve as Senator, Governor
or Lt. Governor.
CONVENTION PROPOSAL NO.
42 - To specify that the term, term limit,
qualification and limitation for the office of the Lt. Governor are
the same as for the office of the Governor.
