A PROPOSAL

To amend section 5 of article XIII of the Constitution of the Federated States of Micronesia to remove the language relating to transition and to prohibit indefinite land leased in certain circumstances.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION:

     That the following amendment be made to section 5 of article XIII of the Constitution of the Federated States of Micronesia:

"SECTION 5.  A lease agreement for the use of land for an indefinite term by a noncitizen, a corporation not wholly owned by citizens, or any government is prohibited."
