     § 1301.  Authorization of Appropriations.
     There is hereby authorized an annual appropriation out of the General Fund of Chuuk State the Truk District Legislature, not otherwise appropriated, of such sums as may be necessary to subsidize salaries for municipal police in the Truk District Chuuk State.

     § 1302.  Distribution.
     The funds appropriated pursuant to this Chapter shall be distributed in the proportion that the following fractions bear to the monies appropriated pursuant to this Chapter.

     § 1303.  Administration and Disbursement.
     The municipal police subsidy fund shall be administered by the District State Treasurer.  The District State Treasurer is hereby authorized to disburse funds appropriated pursuant to this Chapter upon receipt of a request therefor made under the provisions of this Chapter. The field trip officer or the District State Treasurer, or his designated representative,  is authorized to distribute subsidies for municipal police to municipalities located in the outer islands of Truk District Chuuk State.

     § 1304.  Eligibility.
     The municipal police who are selected and approved by the municipal magistrate, with the advice and consent of the municipal council of each municipality, upon compliance with Section 156 1306 of this Chapter, as the municipal magistrate, with the advice and consent of the municipal council deems necessary and appropriate to carry out the purposes of this Chapter, from the fund allocated for each municipality pursuant to this Chapter.

     § 1305.  Reports.
     The magistrate of each municipality, with the advice and consent of the municipal council, shall transmit or cause to be transmitted the name(s) of the municipal police from hi municipality to the Chief of Police, Truk of Chuuk with a courtesy copy to the District State Treasurer.  The transmission shall also include, in addition to the names of the policemen, their home island and their village. Each of the municipal police who is named to receive a subsidy pursuant to this Chapter shall keep a journal of his daily work.  He shall then compile these daily reports during the last week of each month and submit the same to either the magistrate or the community court judge of his municipality for certification.  Upon certification, the municipal magistrate shall transmit the monthly report to the Chief of Police , Truk of Chuuk, who shall then notify the District State Treasurer that the municipal police officer has complied with the provisions of this Section.  The Chief of Police shall immediately request the District State Treasurer to disburse the necessary funds from the fund allocated to the municipality to the municipal magistrate, or to his designated representative, who shall distribute the funds to the eligible municipal policeman.

     § 1306.  Disqualification.
     Any municipal policeman who fails to keep, compile, and submit his daily journal required by Section 155 1305 of this Chapter shall be disqualified from receiving further subsidies pursuant to this Chapter.  If a municipal policeman resigns, dies, or is removed for cause, the municipal magistrate shall immediately notify the Chief of Police, Truk of Chuuk of the same.  Death, resignation, removal for cause or service on an island other than the island of his permanent residence shall automatically and immediately disqualify a municipal police officer from receiving a subsidy under this Chapter.

     § 1307.  Removal.
     No municipal police officer receiving a subsidy under this Chapter shall be removed from this position without the prior written approval of the District State Chief of Police.
